Nuru International is pleased to announce our inclusion in the Better Business Bureau’s (BBB) Wise Giving Alliance. In light of recent events in the non-profit sector there has been a renewed outcry by the media and general public for transparency, financial controls and adherence to organizational best practices for all charitable organizations. Nuru International firmly believes that our donors deserve the highest level of assurance that their contributions are being used efficiently and effectively to end extreme poverty, and that is why we turned to the BBB. Our review by the BBB began months ago and culminated with Nuru meeting all 20 charity standards by the BBB’s Wise Giving Alliance. We are honored to be included amongst some of the world’s top non-profit organizations who are also accredited by the BBB, and Nuru International will continue to pursue transparency and financial accountability to both our donors and to the extreme poor we serve.
